At the end of May, i opened up a survey: which of my digital patterns would look cool on a pair of slip-on canvas shoes? Well guess the heck what, i put the top four picks — neon stars, daffies, color wheels, and giraffey — onto Threadless' new shoe template which are now live in my shop!
(the inverted color wheels i included as a bonus, i forgot to include them in the options at first)
These all came from graphics i made available for free personal use, both here and queued in the #freebie-friday on my tumblr, which i posted weekly from january to june of this year. Some include clip-art i don't own so i wouldn't be authorized to sell.
- i learned how to generate repeating tiles from an image w/GIMP so that streamlined the process considerably; i had otherwise been manually duplicating & offsetting each tile, oof
- will i make more patterns? probably! i just kinda ran out of steam & ideas eventually, at least for now, yknow how it is, when it's time it's time
- pixel stuff continues to genereates the most buzz...
